The head has since been cleaned, reattached to its pedestal, and displayed in the historic building. The origin and presence of the statue in the park remain a mystery, with suggestions ranging from theft to casual disposal. The find was significant enough to be reported to the British Museum, adding to the collection of discoveries in the area rich in historical value.
