Five Palestinians were killed at a U.N. aid distribution center in Rafah, Gaza, which was hit by shelling. The center is operated by UNWRA. The Commissioner-General of UNWRA called for an independent inquiry into Israeli military’s targeting of U.N. sites. Aid agencies estimate that 1.4 million people in Gaza, two-thirds of the population, are displaced, vying for limited resources during the Israel-Hamas conflict.
