Eight Norwegian Cruise passengers, including a pregnant woman and an elderly man with a heart condition, found themselves stranded on an African island after missing the ship’s departure. The captain allegedly refused to allow them back on board, leaving them without money and essential medications. While the cruise line mentioned the passengers missed the designated boarding time, the stranded passengers, including an elderly man and a paraplegic, were left without their belongings. The group had to spend over $5,000 on food and accommodations. They attempted to meet the ship at another port but faced challenges due to low tides, having to travel through multiple countries to try to rejoin the cruise.
