Nine people have been detained by Tajikistan’s state security service in connection with the recent attack on a suburban Moscow concert hall that resulted in the deaths of 144 people. The attackers, identified as Tajik nationals, were affiliated with the Islamic State group. Russian officials have suggested Ukrainian and Western involvement in the attack, a claim vehemently denied by Kyiv. In Russia, nine suspects have appeared in court related to the incident, with one suspect being ordered to remain in custody until May 22. The death toll from the attack continues to rise, with additional arrests made in relation to the financing of the assault.
