A joint humanitarian mission between NGOs Open Arms and World Central Kitchen is delivering food aid to Gaza via a maritime route from Cyprus to help address the imminent famine crisis caused by war and Israeli restrictions on aid. The aid organizations are navigating logistical challenges and Israeli protocols to ensure the safe delivery of the cargo, including about 200 tons of food. With Gaza’s infrastructure devastated and many people at risk of famine, the mission aims to provide critical assistance to the population in need. Other aid efforts, such as airdrops and plans for a floating dock, are also in progress to address the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
