American military pilots conducted an aid mission to Gaza, dropping three tons of humanitarian supplies from a C-130 transport plane. This marked the 11th American airdrop of aid since March, aiming to assist amid challenges in ground transportation of aid due to political and security concerns. The ongoing Israeli offensive in Gaza has resulted in significant casualties and pushed a large part of the population to the brink of starvation. A quarter of the strip’s population, particularly in the north, faces dire circumstances, with many resorting to consuming animal feed. While airdrops provide essential aid, they offer less compared to truck deliveries and have sparked concerns regarding effectiveness and safety. Despite these challenges, the aid delivery operation ensures measures are taken to prevent accidents during the drops.
