The Israeli military has withdrawn from its recent raid on Gaza’s largest hospital, Shifa, which left the hospital severely damaged. Israel claimed victory in its battle against Hamas but faced criticism from observers and the World Health Organization. Israel stated that no civilians were harmed during the raid, providing shelter, food, water, and medicine to Palestinians inside. However, the WHO reported that 21 patients died and many lacked proper medical care and supplies. The raid led to civilian deaths, detainment of suspected militants, and the hospital’s destruction. The conflict surrounding Shifa has been ongoing, with Israel targeting it as a central Hamas command center.
