An attack on an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters in Iran’s Sistan-Baluchestan province resulted in the deaths of at least 11 security force members. Clashes with the Sunni armed group Jaish al-Adl followed, leading to the deaths of 16 of its members. The attack, one of the deadliest by Jaish al-Adl, took place in Chabahar and Rask and left several security officers wounded. Jaish al-Adl has claimed responsibility for previous deadly assaults on Iranian security forces in the region.
