A 41-year-old Indiana mother, Stefanie Smith, who died on a plane returning from the Dominican Republic, passed away from a natural cause, specifically a carotid artery dissection in her neck. Autopsy results confirmed no foul play. Smith had vacationed in Punta Cana and appeared healthy until becoming ill on the flight home. Despite CPR attempts, she passed away upon landing in Turks and Caicos. Smith leaves behind two teenage children.
