The iconic Sagrada Familia basilica in Barcelona is set to be completed by 2026, over 140 years since construction began. The final tower, dedicated to Jesus Christ, will reach 172.5 meters in height. Designed by Antoni Gaudí, the church will feature 18 towers representing biblical figures. Due to various delays, including the Spanish Civil War and lack of proper permits, the structure has been unfinished until now. Once finished, it will surpass Germany’s Ulm Minster as the world’s tallest church.
