The Chief of Defense of Denmark has been dismissed by the Danish government after failing to disclose issues aboard the frigate Iver Huitfeldt during its deployment to the Red Sea. The Defense Minister revealed the dismissal following reports of critical weapon and mission system problems that were unreported. The frigate, part of the U.S.-led Operation Prosperity Guardian, returned home early due to the faults. Additionally, a sister ship, the frigate Niels Juel, faced an incident during a missile test. Investigations are ongoing.
