The international community is being criticized for its silence on the ongoing civil war in Sudan, which has resulted in 18 million people facing acute hunger. Both the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces are hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid, while alleged crimes against humanity, including indiscriminate attacks on civilians, displacement of millions, and violence against women and children, are being reported. Despite these atrocities, there has been minimal attention and response from the global community, unlike the reactions to conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine.
