The Dutch Prime Minister Rutte is currently in China with the Foreign Trade minister, Geoffrey van Leeuwen. This visit follows a decision by the Netherlands to limit the export of advanced chip printing machines by ASML to China, influenced by pressure from the United States. ASML estimates this restriction will impact 10 to 15 percent of its China sales. Tensions have arisen between the Netherlands and China due to these export controls, with China expressing dissatisfaction. Van Leeuwen mentioned the importance of discussing sensitive technology topics where both countries may not see eye to eye.
