Former Conservative Deputy Chairman Lee Anderson has defected to the Reform UK party, becoming its first MP. Anderson had been suspended from the Conservative Party after accusing London Mayor Sadiq Khan of being controlled by Islamists. Anderson stated that he joined the Reform UK party because it allowed him “to speak out in Parliament on behalf of millions of people up and down the country” who support the party, which polls around 10% of national voting intention.
