SpaceX’s Starship rocket launched on its third test flight on March 14, 2024. The flight ended with both the first-stage Super Heavy booster and the Starship upper stage breaking apart during landing attempts. This mishap triggered an investigation by the U.S. FAA to determine the cause. Despite the failures, progress was noted with successful milestones achieved. The FAA will not grant a launch license for the next flight until corrective actions are implemented. SpaceX remains optimistic about future test flights, with more rockets already in production for upcoming missions.
