Five out of six missing cross-country skiers were found dead in the Swiss Alps near the Matterhorn mountain after attempting to build a cave to protect themselves from the elements during a ski tour. The group, which included five members of the same family, went missing on Saturday in the Tete Blanche sector. Rescuers reported that the skiers froze to death after becoming disoriented and encountering a storm with high winds, cold temperatures, and poor visibility in the area. Authorities did not immediately confirm the identities of those who perished. The search operation was ongoing for the sixth missing skier. The incident occurred in an area known for its popularity among tourists for skiing activities.
