France has announced plans to deliver 78 Caesar howitzers to Ukraine and increase the supply of shells to support Kyiv’s urgent need for ammunition in the face of Russia’s invasion. This agreement involves France, Ukraine, and Denmark, with France aiming to provide 80,000 shells for 155 mm guns this year. Additionally, a plan led by the Czech Republic seeks to acquire 800,000 artillery shells for Ukraine, supported by 18 countries. Amid concerns of potential U.S. disengagement, European nations are urged to enhance their own security efforts.
