In France, authorities have confirmed that the remains of a young boy found on Saturday belong to a 2-year-old who went missing in July last year. DNA testing identified the child as Emile near the village of Le Vernet where he disappeared while visiting his grandparents. The cause of death remains unknown. A significant search effort had been carried out when he vanished, with suspicions of abduction leading to a criminal inquiry. Additional searches are now being conducted in the area where the remains were located.
