Greece is set to supply shells in a Czech Republic initiative to provide urgent artillery deliveries to Ukraine worth $1.9 billion. The ammunition, sourced from Greek army warehouses, will be reimbursed by other nations. Russian artillery currently outnumbers Ukrainian artillery by a large margin, leading to a shortage of shells. Various European countries, including Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, are contributing to this effort. Plans are in place to increase artillery shell production to meet Ukraine’s needs and potentially give them an advantage over Russia. Turkey is also involved in collaborations to address shell deficits, with Turkey and the US working on joint ammunition production projects.
