Pro-Palestinian activists were surprised when Dr. Phil hosted a former Hamas member who criticized them on his show. Mosab Hassan Yousef, a former Hamas member turned Israeli intelligence informant, argued that supporters of Palestine, including Salma and Zaynab from the University of Michigan, are unknowingly endorsing a dangerous group. Yousef accused them of providing cover for Hamas’ crimes. He claimed that since a terrorist attack on October 7, there is no distinction between Palestinians and Hamas, citing a rise in support for Hamas following the attack.
