The IDF destroyed a mile-long section of one of the largest known Hamas tunnel networks beneath the Gaza Strip. The tunnel, part of a 7.5-mile-long network, provided an underground route linking Hamas military forces between northern and southern Gaza. This action is part of the IDF’s efforts to eliminate Hamas terror tunnels, with an estimated 40% already destroyed. The operation, aided by airstrikes and flooding tactics, is ongoing as the IDF works to dismantle the extensive tunnel system.
