Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway shared a heartfelt update with her followers as her family marked a significant milestone over the weekend. Her daughter Darcey turned 18, but due to the recent passing of Darcey’s father, Derek Draper, she initially did not want to celebrate. Derek died at the age of 56 in January after suffering from complications related to Covid-19 since March 2020. Kate took to Instagram to share details about how she planned a special day for Darcey despite her wishes. The preparations included a beautiful table setting, pink balloons, an impressive tiered cake, and family photographs. Kate expressed gratitude to those who helped out, including Myleene Klass, who rallied a group of friends to assist with the celebration. Fellow Good Morning Britain presenters Laura Tobin and Alex Beresford wished Darcey a happy birthday, as did fans who praised Kate for her thoughtfulness and the support of her friends.
