Every year on March 30, Palestinians commemorate Land Day, which dates back to events in 1976 when Israeli forces killed unarmed Palestinians protesting the confiscation of their land. Recently, Israel confiscated 2,000 hectares of land in Galilee, continuing a trend of seizing Palestinian territories. On March 22, 2024, Israel announced the seizure of 800 hectares in the West Bank for building illegal settlements. These actions, condemned as violating international law, threaten the creation of a Palestinian state.
