Concerns were raised about various threats, including China and Russia targeting the U.S., terrorist groups exploiting the situation in Afghanistan, the impact of drug trafficking, and the potential weaponization of space by foreign adversaries. Testimony also highlighted the dangers of transnational criminal organizations, human smuggling, and the need for extending surveillance provisions. Additionally, CIA Director William Burns emphasized the importance of providing support to Ukraine and addressing foreign interference in elections.
