President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints revealed 11 new General Authority Seventies and a new Sunday School General Presidency at the April 2024 general conference. Among the newcomers are leaders from various countries and professional backgrounds. Moreover, eight General Authority Seventies will transition to emeritus status, with some joining the Presidency of the Seventy. The Sunday School General Presidency, effective August 1, 2024, comprises President Paul V. Johnson, First Counselor Chad H Webb, and Second Counselor Gabriel W. Reid.
