A 79-year-old woman from Minnesota, Gail Mattson, was killed on a safari in Zambia after an elephant charged at the vehicle she was in during a game drive in Kafue National Park. The incident, captured on video, happened suddenly and tragically. The safari company, Wilderness, reported that the elephant was aggressive and the guide was unable to avoid the attack. Mattson’s family confirmed her death, describing her as someone who was enjoying life and being adventurous on the day she passed away.
