Niagara Falls, Canada, has declared a state of emergency in anticipation of the total eclipse on April 8, expecting around 1 million visitors to the area. National Geographic has listed the falls as one of the best locations to witness the rare eclipse. Mayor Jim Diodati estimates a record-breaking number of visitors for a single day. The emergency declaration aims to prepare the city for potential issues such as traffic, communication disruptions, and increased emergency service needs. The eclipse will pass over Mexico, the US, and exit in Eastern Canada, leaving much of the continent to witness a partial eclipse.
