Christopher Nolan’s film Oppenheimer swept up seven awards at the 96th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for Cillian Murphy and Best Director for Nolan himself. The film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer, the physicist who played a key role in the creation of the atomic bomb during World War II. Oppenheimer was released last summer on the same day as Barbie, creating what became known as “Barbenheimer” among fans and critics alike. The film has been lauded for its technical achievements and the performance of Murphy, who won Best Actor at the ceremony.
