Putin has instructed Russia’s security service to hunt down and punish those Russians who have turned against the country and joined forces with Ukrainians in fighting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The move comes as Russian militia groups have been attacking Russian regions, causing chaos and casualties. Ukraine has denied direct involvement but admitted to collaborating with the anti-Kremlin groups. In response, Putin has ordered the strengthening of border security and suggested creating a buffer zone along the Ukraine border. Meanwhile, Ukraine has been targeting Russian infrastructure in retaliation.
