Chinese and Russian diplomats reportedly held negotiations with Houthi representatives in Oman. A previous meeting occurred earlier in Moscow, where discussions focused on pressuring Israel and the US to end the conflict in Gaza. The Houthi rebels, who target ships associated with Israel in the Red Sea, have caused disruptions to global trade. In response, the US and UK have conducted airstrikes against the rebels.
