Russian authorities have announced the evacuation of 9,000 children from the Belgorod region due to shelling near the Ukraine border. President Vladimir Putin stated that an incursion by three militia groups of Russian defectors serving with the Ukrainian Armed Forces had failed. The groups launched a raid into Russia’s southern regions, claiming ongoing operations. Shelling in a village resulted in injuries, with buildings damaged.
