China’s special envoy for Eurasian affairs, Li Hui, stated that Russia and Ukraine are hopeful that their crisis can be resolved through peace talks, despite their firm stances and significant differences during negotiations. Li mentioned that Russia acknowledges China’s efforts in mediating discussions with Europe, while Ukraine sees his recent visit as significant. China aims to facilitate an international peace conference accepted by both countries, where they can equally participate. Li emphasized that China is committed to supporting any actions that promote de-escalation and dialogue between the two nations.
