Russian volunteer fighters have crossed into Russia from Ukraine and are now near an empty nuclear storage site. The groups are critical of Putin’s invasion and aim to liberate Russia. They recently took control of an administration building in a village. There are concerns about their proximity to the nuclear site, with doubts about their ability to reach it unnoticed. Ukrainian intelligence mentioned a similar situation in May 2023. An independent analyst doubts the fighters will succeed due to heavy security. Ukraine is reportedly supporting these anti-Kremlin militias on Russian territory. The goal of these groups is to march on Moscow and overthrow Putin.
