SpaceX is working on a project for the U.S. intelligence agency to create a network of hundreds of spy satellites, allowing for constant monitoring of activities on Earth. This initiative, part of a $1.8 billion contract with the National Reconnaissance Office, aims to significantly enhance the U.S. government and military’s surveillance capabilities globally. The satellites, developed through SpaceX’s Starshield unit, would enable quick target identification and could operate in low orbits as a coordinated group.
