A judge has ruled to delay former President Donald J. Trump’s trial in Manhattan, originally scheduled for March, until at least mid-April. This delay is due to the recent disclosure of over 100,000 pages of investigative records related to the case, where Trump is accused of covering up a sex scandal during the 2016 presidential campaign. Trump’s legal team sought a 90-day delay while the Manhattan district attorney proposed up to a 30-day delay. Trump has been successful in using legal tactics to postpone his multiple trials in different cities, including influencing the Supreme Court to delay his trial in Washington.
