Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has demanded that Ukraine arrest and hand over the head of its security services to Russia. The Ministry blames the Security Service of Ukraine chief for an explosion at a bridge in Crimea that killed five people in October 2022. Ukraine has been accused of facilitating a deadly concert hall attack in Moscow in March 2022, with Russia alleging that Ukrainian authorities allowed the gunmen to cross its borders. The Security Service chief of Ukraine admitted to orchestrating the bridge explosion in Crimea in July 2023. The two countries have been in conflict since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Ukraine’s Security Service has dismissed Russia’s accusations of terrorism and mentioned an arrest warrant for Putin over alleged war crimes in Ukraine.
