Two families in Gaza welcomed newborns amidst the chaos of war. Amal and Mustafa Al-Taweel had Ali after trying for three years, while Rola and Mohammed Zaqout finally had Masa after a five-year wait. The babies were born just before conflict erupted between Israel and Hamas, leading to their homes being destroyed, scarce resources, and constant danger. Seeking safety, both families moved around Gaza, eventually settling in crowded tent camps in Rafah. The dire situation caused malnutrition and health issues for the infants, with limited access to medical care. Despite the hardships, the families cling to hopes of a better future for their children but face uncertainty and struggles as Gaza’s health sector collapses under the weight of the ongoing conflict.
