Significant flooding in south-western Russia has led to the evacuation of thousands of residents after a dam on the Ural River was breached in Orsk, near Kazakhstan’s border. The Orenburg region declared an emergency due to rising river levels caused by melting ice. While three bodies were discovered in the area, their deaths are not attributed to the flooding. Local emergency services are actively addressing the flooding situation in Orsk.
