Ukraine is facing delays in receiving F-16 fighter jets promised by European allies, with as few as six out of the 45 pledged potentially being delivered. While a training center in Romania is ready to instruct Ukrainian pilots, they have not yet arrived for training. Twelve pilots are expected to be combat-ready this summer after training in various countries. The urgency for fighter jets is highlighted by Russia’s increased air support to advance in eastern Ukraine. With a shortage of weapons and ammunition, Ukraine is in dire need of military aid, making the awaited F-16s crucial in bolstering their defense.
