Over the weekend, Ukraine launched a missile at a warship, the Konstantin Olshansky, previously seized by Russia a decade ago during the annexation of Crimea. The Ukrainian defense ministry disclosed that a homemade Neptune anti-ship missile was used in the attack. The assault was part of a larger operation against Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, targeting multiple vessels and infrastructure in Sevastopol. Ukraine has been leveraging asymmetrical warfare tactics, including long-range cruise missiles and exploding naval drones, to counter the Black Sea Fleet. Ukrainian President Zelenskyy commended the efforts to push back against Russian presence in Crimea and the Black Sea.
