Fighting is ongoing between Ukrainian and Russian forces near the Ukrainian stronghold of Chasiv Yar in the east. While Russian troops are advancing in eastern Ukraine, Kyiv is hampered by shortages of artillery shells as US aid is delayed in Congress. There are concerns that Russia’s potential advance on Chasiv Yar could be detrimental for Ukraine. The Ukrainian president has highlighted the country’s defense gaps and called for expedited Western military assistance. Amidst the tensions, Ukraine seems to have stabilized its positions and is preparing for potential future offensives. Additionally, Ukraine has reportedly used drones to attack targets in Russia.
