The U.S. military recently destroyed two drones in Yemen, one over the Red Sea and the other on the ground in a Houthi-controlled area. The action was taken to protect U.S. and coalition forces in the region. The Houthi rebels have been conducting drone and missile attacks, targeting ships in the Red Sea. Despite efforts for peace talks in Yemen, the conflict between the rebels and pro-government forces backed by Gulf Arab states, ongoing since 2014, continues to escalate.
