The U.S. Department of State has issued a Level 4 travel advisory, advising American citizens to avoid travel to a particular island country due to escalating political unrest, increased gang activity, violent crime, kidnapping, and deficiencies in healthcare facilities. Amid concerns of safety, the U.S. government has urged its citizens currently in the country to depart immediately.
