The BRS leadership chose not to comment after party MLC K Kavitha’s arrest by the Directorate of Enforcement in the Delhi liquor scam case. Despite sporadic protests by party members in different areas, top figures like BRS president K Chandrashekar Rao and others did not address the issue. Plans for a press conference were canceled, while some BRS leaders organized protest demonstrations in several locations across the state.
