The leader of the Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen stated in a recent speech that their actions targeting ships will block Israel-related vessels from passing through the Indian Ocean towards the Cape of Good Hope. He mentioned that about 34 Houthi members have been killed during their attacks on shipping routes in support of Palestinians during the conflict in Gaza.
