Zelensky Says 5-7 Patriot Systems from US Would Unblock the Sky Over Ukraine
Ukrainian President seeks US-made Patriot air defense systems to protect against Russian aggression.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that having five to seven US-made Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine would help protect industrial sites, ensure safety for citizens, and allow for normal daily activities like work and school. He believes that such systems would enable Ukrainian cities to remain safe and allow Ukrainian forces to advance against Russian aggression. Zelensky also mentioned that weakening Russian President Vladimir Putin domestically could be a key to Ukraine’s success and highlighted the importance of diverting Russian resources away from attacking Ukraine. Although the United States has not yet sent Patriot systems to Ukraine, Zelensky expressed gratitude for the support, clarifying that the existing systems in Ukraine came from other countries.
